CEVA s expands near Chicago O'Hare with 65,600 square foot warehouse
The new, 20,000-square metre (65,600 square feet), multi-use logistics facility features a 128-camera CCTV system, gate and access control as well as security on duty inside the building 24/7.
The new facility near O'Hare International Airport with 30 dock doors is directly adjacent to an existing CEVA location, with opportunities to expand current services in the Chicago market and improve traffic flow in and out of the area, the company said.
The company's Chicago operations, employing 250 permanent staff, near O'Hare International Airport now encompasses four facilities totalling more than 60,000 square metres (650,000 square feet) and 115 total dock doors.
Said CEVA Chicago chief Bill Stortenbecker: "We have been experiencing space constraints in Chicago. This enables us to drive growth in our services across the board our hub ground network, domestic network, import and export gateway operations, export dock and logistics operations."
