HHI names two 10,000-TEU box ships for Oceanbulk at Ulsan yard
IN keeping with plans to deliver a total of 74 vessels including 25 containerships this year, South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) has held naming ceremonies for two 10,000-TEU ships for Greek shipping line, Oceanbulk Maritime SA.
The ceremony at HHI's yard in Ulsan was attended by Oceanbulk's CEO Spyros Capralos and COO Spyros Capralos, as well as COO of HHI's shipbuilding division Yoon Moon-kyoon in the presence of 44 other guests.
The box ships were named after famous French and Spanish painters, Paul Cezanne and Salvatore Dali. The Cezanne was delivered this month and the Dali is scheduled for delivery at the end of March, reported Efoplistesnews.
Since 2005 the world's biggest shipbuilder has won orders for 154 containerships of over 10,000 TEU.
