Bunker operations disrupted in Novorossiisk due to bad weather: sources
Bunker operations in the Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiisk have been disrupted by bad weather conditions, sources said Tuesday.
“This is the seventh storm warning in the last few days. It was issued at 1130 local time. Gusts are reaching 20 meters per second,” a port official said.
“The weather has been bad from around December 20. There were small windows when it was OK, but generally it is bad,” a bunker trader said.
Novorossiisk wind speeds are expected to reach 28 knots this evening, but ease to about 19 knots Wednesday.
“There have been a lot of delays in Novorossiisk, so some of the cargoes have been shunted back…Urals has already been moved back to accommodate those expected delays,” said a Mediterranean crude trader.
Platts assessed Novorossiisk delivered 380 CST HSFO at $205.50/mt Monday and it was heard indicated at about $206/mt Tuesday morning.
