Air China to buy sixty B737 aircraft from 2016 and 2020 for US$5.9 billion
AIR China has signed a US$5.9 billion deal to purchase 60 Boeing 737 aircraft for delivery between 2016 and 2020, according to a regulatory filing from China's flag carrier.
The order comes four months after Boeing won an order for eighty 737 planes from Singapore-based BOC Aviation, reported Reuters.
The US aircraft manufacturer said in September it expects China to need more than 6,020 aircraft in the next two decades, as growing overseas leisure travel drives demand.
