Hong Kong down 5.7pc in November to 1.79 million TEU, Singapore up 6pc
FIGURES from the Hong Kong Marine Department showed the port handled 1.79 million TEU in November, representing a year-on-year decrease of 5.7 per cent from 1.9 million TEU in November last year.
Singapore's Maritime and Port Authority reported a 6pc increase in container movement in November, having handled 2.86 million TEU compared to 2.69 million TEU in November last year.
Shanghai container volume fell for the first time in 2014 with November throughput down 0.7 per cent to 2.94 million TEU, according the Shanghai International Port (Group) Co (SIPG).
