UTi teams up Beijing Changjiu Logistics to deliver auto parts
BEIJING Changjiu Logistics Co Ltd is joining freight forwarder UTi Worldwide to serve automakers and part suppliers in China's expanding car market, reports American Shipper.
Privately held Beijing Changjiu Logistics is the largest independent automotive logistics company in China, with a total annual revenue of US$500 million, according to UTi.
"UTi and Changjiu will offer end-to-end service for automotive clients integrating freight forwarding, inland transport, production logistics, order management and customs brokerage," said UTi Asia Pacific president Ditlev Blicher.
The partnership will also help UTi increase its footprint in the China market by leveraging Changjiu's client base, cultural awareness and governmental relationships, Mr Blicher added.
