Emirates Line restructures its East Africa-Asia Service into two loops
DUBAI's Emirate Shipping Line has announced an upgrade of its East Africa Asia Service (AFA) by restructuring it into two new services - the Asia Tanzania Express (ATX) and Asia Kenya Express (AKX).
The two new services offer a direct fixed scheduled weekly service out of common ports through competitive transit times, ensuring port delays do not impact the quality of service on either loop.
The Asia Tanzania Express (ATX) has a port rotation of Singapore, Port Klang, Colombo, Dar Es Salaam, Colombo and back to Singapore.
The Asia Kenya Express (AKX) will rotate through Port Klang, Singapore, Colombo, Mombasa, Colombo and back to Port Klang.
Both services will commence in December with AKX sailing from Singapore on December 6 while ATX will sail from the Lion City on December 9.
Six vessels in between 2,500 to 2,700 TEU will be deployed on the ATX service while five of 2,700 TEU will join the AKX service.
"These two new services demonstrate a further commitment from Emirates Shipping Line as it expands its service portfolio," said the company statement.
