Cargill’s ocean transportation business’ customer service wins 2014 International Bulk Journal award
Cargill’s ocean transportation business has been awarded the 2014 International Bulk Journal (IBJ) Customer Care award on November 10th, making it the first dry bulk shipping company to win this award. The distinction, one of the most significant in the industry, recognizes companies which deliver exceptional service to their customers. The award recognizes a company “which demonstrates how excellent customer care has achieved increased turnover, profitability or customer retention”.
Cargill’s ocean transportation puts the success of its customers at the core of business in order to provide solutions that help them overcome markets challenges. Cargill Ocean Transportation manages over 600 dry bulk vessels, ships over 220 million metric tons of 100 different dry bulk commodities and makes over 12,000 port calls per year across the globe. A dedicated team of 250 people works in 13 global locations and serves more than 400 global customers.
