Sixth 10,000-TEU containership is received by Seaspan for MOL service
HONG KONG-administered Seaspan has taken delivery of a 10,000-TEU containership, the MOL Breeze, built by Jiangsu Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding Co.
The new containership is built in accordance with the company's fuel-efficient SAVER design, and is the sixth vessel of this size and design type scheduled for delivery in 2014.
The newbuilding will commence an eight-year, fixed-rate time charter with MOL. She is the second of a total of five 10,000 TEU SAVER design vessels, and the eighth of a total of 11 vessels, to be chartered by Seaspan to MOL.
The new addition brings the company's operating fleet to 77 vessels.
