Norfolk Southern posts 7pc higher revenue to US$3.07 billion in third quarter
THE US No 4 railway, Norfolk Southern Corp, has posted a seven per cent year-on-year increase in third quarter revenue to US$3.07 billion.
The Norfolk, Virginia, company reported higher quarterly profit across in all commodity groups with earnings per share of $1.79, up 17 per cent year on year.
Reuters reported that this was slightly below analyst expectations of $1.83 in the third quarter.
