Sharing our knowledge and experience in FPSO Redeployment & Life Extension
Recently we hosted special lunch symposium on FPSO redeployment and life extension. The event, attended by senior industry professionals working with leading FPSO contractors, owners, operators and shipyards involved with FPSO leasing, new build and conversion projects, allowed us to share our experiences and lessons learnt on real time re-deployment and life extension projects.
With clients such as Keppel Offshore & Marine, Woodside, Apache, PETROBRAS, PTTEP, Petronas, MISC, BW Offshore, Yinson Production, Bumi Armada, Rubicon and OMNI in attendance, we discussed project challenges and concerns, including deeper and harsher areas of operations, technical risk management and cost effective operations.
These issues are becoming ever more prevalent and collaborating across industry can help us meet these challenges and reduce the risks as Andre Vogel, Operations Director, RUBICON Offshore International commented, “by sharing the past experiences, we could potentially help others to save time, cost, and issues including issues with regulators”.
We understand the value in driving this conversation forward and have produced an Oil and gas Technology Radar, a report into the impact that technology and innovation is having on the oil and gas sector.
