Hapag-Lloyd announces US$50 manual booking fee for low-tech shippers
GERMAN ocean container carrier Hapag-Lloyd will implement a manual booking fee for booking requests received manually in Denmark and Sweden from September 1.
For Denmark, the fee will be DKK300 (US$52.90) and for Sweden, it will be SEK300 (US$42.76).
No manual booking fee will be charged when using e-bookings online via Hapag-Lloyd's web booking application (for registered Users) and the bilateral EDI connection between ERP systems.
Means of integration include portals INTTRA, GT Nexus, Dakosy and Cargosmart, the company said.
