Jindal ITF, Sula Shipping in tie-up
Jindal ITF, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jindal SAW Ltd, and Sula Shipping & Logistics Pvt Ltd have set up a project-driven partnership. The partnership is expected to increase the efficiency of the NTPC-Farakka waterways project. Sula Logistics is responsible for trans-shipment and barging of coal at Sandheads for the Farakka trans-shipment project. The NTPC-Farakka project will deliver imported coal to Farakka through the barges. According to a release issued by Jindal ITF, the project is set to deliver three million tonnes of coal to Farakka via River Hooghly. Operations will be led by Capt. Shrikant Chandra, COO and Country Manager, SULA.
