MacGregor to supply equipment for 2 anchor handlers at Wuhu shipyard
WUHU Xinlian shipyard on the Yangtze has placed an order for a full package of MacGregor anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) equipment for two 150-tonne bollard pull AHTS/oil recovery vessels.
The equipment is scheduled for delivery by May 2015 and the order contains an option for two more ship sets.
"We have been able to make a breakthrough into the mid-size anchor handling vessel market with low pressure anchor handling/towing winches," said vice president Francis Wong.
The scope of the equipment includes a medium-pressure anchor windlass/mooring winch, capstans, tugger winches, storage reels and a power pack.
From engineering Hatlapa offerings, it will deliver a 300-tonne line pull/450-tonne brake holding capacity low-pressure anchor handling/towing winch equipped with friction clutches.
From its Triplex range the company will deliver 360-tonne SWL shark jaws and 200-tonne SWL guide pins.
