Raising customer experience via high-quality data
Safmarine joins INTTRA’s list of top five carriers providing the highest quality of shipment data, highlighting our commitment to creating a positive shipping experience for customers.
INTTRA recently released the June 2014 results of its Ocean Shipping Information Quality programme that aims to help carriers improve shipment information quality. For the first time, Safmarine is among the top five carriers who provide the highest quality of shipment data, along with APL, United Arab Shipping Company (UASC), Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), and CSAV Group.
“INTTRA’s Ocean Shipping Information Quality programme continues to make a broad impact as carriers make the pursuit of quality data a key focus of their global strategy,” said Sandra Moran, Chief Marketing Officer, INTTRA, in a press release. “We congratulate the carriers who have consistently placed in the ‘Top 5’, which reinforces their commitment to ensuring value-enhancing information in the shipment supply chain—and commend Safmarine for joining their ranks.”
Adding value to the customer’s business
The Information Quality programme analyses the information received by shippers from carriers throughout the shipping process and determines if the data is accurate, complete, and sent on time.
According to Niels Thomas Agner Hansen, Safmarine Head of Sales Excellence and Customer Experience, ensuring the high quality of data improves not only our efficiency, it also improves our customers’ business productivity.
“This is a fantastic recognition of our efforts to improve our data quality to deliver reliable and useful information. The latest programme results provide insight on where we’ve done well and which aspects we can strengthen further,” says Thomas.
