Frontier Service Group acquires 49pc of Kenya's Phoenix Aviation
HONG KONG listed Frontier Services Group (FSG) Limited has completed the acquisition of 49 per cent stake in Kenya's Phoenix Aviation Limited for US$14 million.
The Kenyan aviation company now becomes part of the integrated logistics firm's global footprint, which brings specialised aviation logistical capability.
Frontier gains the benefit of Kenyan and East African expertise and market knowledge to become the premier pan-African logistics provider to corporations, NGOs and government agencies.
Established in 1994, Phoenix is headquartered at Wilson Airport in Nairobi.
"We believe Phoenix is the best there is in Africa in its sector of aviation. The founders of Phoenix are some of the pioneers of the legendary Kenyan aviation sector," said Frontier CEO Gregg Smith.
"This acquisition builds-out Frontier's capability and role as a logistics transport and risk management provider with continental reach."
