MSC and Hamburg S黡 add Montevideo on 'Ipanema' service
MEDITERRANEAN Shipping Company (MSC) and Hamburg S黡 have added Montevideo to their joint Far East-South Africa-ECSA 'Ipanema' service.
The revised rotation stands as follows: Shanghai, Ningbo, Chiwan, Singapore, Durban, Santos, Paranagua, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Navegantes, Santos, Ngqura, Durban, Colombo, Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai, according to Alphaliner.
The 'Ipanema' service turns in 13 weeks with 13 ships of 6,500 - 9,400 TEU in which Maersk Line and CSAV take slots on this service although the Danish shipping giant does not participate in the South Africa calls and calls at Colombo as it has its own arrangements to cover these areas.
