Drewry and WACO forwarders expand air freight market cooperation
LONDON's Drewry Maritime Research and global forwarder network WACO System have expanded their cooperation agreement to include exchanging and sharing market intelligence in the air cargo market.
WACO and Drewry first announced their cooperation agreement in December 2012. Since then, the two organisations have provided industry feedback and pricing data to each other.
Swiss-headquartered but London-administered WACO holds bi-annual meetings for its forwarder members around the world.
"The input which we receive from The WACO System helps Drewry quantify market trends and verify our work on independent consultancy studies when needed," said Drewry director Philip Damas.
"We also find that members of The WACO System, together, have global market knowledge in nearly all geographies," he said.
Said WACO executive director Richard Charles: "We partner with a number of organisations who can add value to our members. Our collaboration with Drewry helps members better manage their businesses."
