Cargotec to keep MacGregor private, abandons plans for listing unit
CARGOTEC has scrapped plans to list its MacGregor business after the directors agreed that shareholder value would be best served by focusing on the integration of newly acquired businesses into MacGregor.
In a stock exchange filing the corporation said MacGregor is seen as a key value driver for Cargotec with a broad range of competitive solutions.
"The existing strategy is successfully implemented by growing its merchant business and entering to additional offshore markets with its two recent acquisitions Hatlapa and Aker Solutions' former mooring and loading systems unit," a company statement said.
