Hamburg Sud upgrades west coast-Med Cartagena transshipment hub
GERMANY's Hamburg Sud has phased in the 4,600-TEU Cap Jackson as part of an 11-ship west coast-Med loop operated in a vessel sharing agreement with Hapag-Lloyd.
The weekly service provides connectivity between all major US west coast ports and Cartagena in southern Spain, which acts as a key transshipment hub.
Hamburg Sud offers 16 monthly departures from most west coast ports to Australia/New Zealand, the Pacific Islands, Latin America, North Europe and the Mediterranean.
