Dimerco launches Cambodia joint venture with Straits International
DIMERCO Express Group, a Taiwan-based global logistics and service provider, has announced the official launch of its new 19.9 per cent owned joint venture with its partner Straits International Pte Ltd in Cambodia.
Joint venture Straits Continental Logistics Co Ltd provides international air/ocean freight forwarding, sea/air/land services, warehousing, logistics operations, cross-border trucking, domestic transportation, buyers consolidation, cargo insurance and customs brokerage.
With the company's long-term strategic plan to cultivate emerging markets, Cambodia's container shipping market was an appealing choice as it grows 10 per cent annually and attracts greater global investment.
Cambodia's economic growth expected to reach 7.5 per cent this year.
The group also revealed its full ownership of its three subsidiaries in Australia located in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Other recent developments include the parent receiving a second US patent for its Data Synchronisation Method and AEO certification by its Thailand offices.
