Shanghai port's June box volumes rise 11pc to record 3.06m TEU
THE world's top container port, Shanghai, has posted a record monthly throughput of 3.06 million TEU for June, an increase of 10.8 per cent compared to the same month a year earlier, says Shanghai International Port (Group).
Last month's volume was also up 1.4 per cent compared to the previous month.
In the first half of the year Shanghai port handled a total of 17.26 million TEU, up 5.7 per cent year on year.
