Seaspan takes in charge 3rd 10,000-TEU SAVER box ship
THE Seaspan Corporation has taken delivery of a new 10,000-TEU containership, the Hanjin Tabul, constructed by Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co.
The vessel is equipped with Seaspan's fuel-efficient SAVER design, and is the company's third of five x 10,000-TEU SAVER design ships slated for delivery this year, reported Marketwatch.
The Hanjin Tabul will commence a 10-year, fixed-rate time charter with Hanjin Shipping.
The ship is the third of a total of three vessels to be chartered by Seaspan to Hanjin Shipping, and brings the company's operating fleet up to 74 vessels.
