Chongqing cargo volume up 12.2pc to 385 million tonnes in 5 months
CHONGQING has posted a 12.2 per cent year-on-year increase in overall cargo volume to 385 million tonnes in the first five months of the year, reports Xinhua.
The city's cargo throughput through its water ports increased 6.4 per cent year on year in the period to 57.31 million tonnes.
From January to May, its airports handled a total of 118,600 tonnes of cargo, 11.2 per cent more than that did in the same period last year.
Passenger movements in the months went up 5.9 per cent year on year to 310 million people.
