Hyundai takes in 3rd of five 13,100-TEUers for G6 Asia-Europe Loop 6
KOREA's Hyundai Merchant Marine has received the 13,100-TEU Hyundai Drive, the third of five ships of 13,100 TEU ordered from Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) in August 2011 at a price tag of US$129 million per vessel.
The Hyundai Drive has joined the G6 Asia-Europe Loop 6 following the delivery of its sister vessel, Hyundai Hope, in March. The Hyundai Victory and Hyundai Pride, are to follow in three months for G6 Asia-Europe service.
The five newbuildings acquisitions follow on from five similar vessels by the Hyundai Samho shipyard in 2012.
