Quanzhou's direct cargo to Taiwan up 100pc to 38,974 tonnes in May
THE Xiaocuo port in Quanzhou city (pop 8.1 million) of southeast Fujian province posted a 100 per cent year-on-year increase in direct cargo volume to Taiwan to 38,974 tonnes in May, reports Xinhua.
The port has transported 125,601 tonnes of cargo to Taiwan since the beginning of the year, growing 91.1 per cent year on year.
Quanzhou maritime sector introduced a series of measures to enhance its service level and efficiency for the direct shipping.
