UK's Neptune Maritime Security attains associate membership in BIMCO
UK ARMED shipboard guard provider Neptune Maritime Security has been granted associate membership in the Baltic International Maritime Council (BIMCO), the group representing 65 per cent of the world's tonnage.
"Membership of BIMCO, combined with its ISO PAS 28007 certification, means that clients can rest assured that Neptune is able to conduct operations safely and has the necessary internal governance in place." said a company statement.
BIMCO has been involved in the development of the new GUARDCON standard contract within ISO PAS rules.
"I'm delighted the company has achieved membership and hope that the move will allay concerns potential clients have about armed security in the maritime environment," said Neptune managing director Carl Sykes.
