Famous Pacific Shipping Sydney names manager for customer service post
FPS Australia, a forwarder and part of the FPS (Famous Pacific Shipping) group, has appointed Andy Johnson to the newly-created position of customer service manager for its Sydney office.
Mr Johnson's freight career spans 24 years in a variety of operations, including supply chain, procurement and project management roles and working in the multimodal forwarding and logistics sectors, said a company statement.
Before relocating from the UK to Australia in 2012, he worked for International Express Co (Europe) as its UK branch operations and aviation security manager. He managed its air, ocean, perishables, road and warehouse operations.
Said director Sam Aparo: "With his strong track record serving the exacting needs of the international broadcast media sector, and his hands-on knowledge of the industry outside Australia, he will play a key role."
