China's quarterly express volume up 51.9pc to 2.6 billion units
CHINA's express delivery business volume posted a year-on-year 51.9 per cent increase to 2.6 billion units in the first quarter, with revenues rising 45.6 per cent to CNY41.35 billion (US$6.61 billion), reports Xinhua.
Intra-city revenue rose 61 per cent to CNY5.06 billion, accounting for 12.2 per cent of China's total postal business revenue. Inter-city revenue was up 42.5 per cent to CNY23.09 billion, taking up 55.8 per cent of the total
International revenue, which included Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan deliveries, increased 15.2 per cent year on year to CNY6.84 billion, which was 16.5 per cent of the total.
