LA up 10.3pc in April to 706,036 TEU - LB rises 9.7pc to 569,843 TEU
CONTAINER volume at San Pedro Bay ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach posted solid year-on-year gains in April.
Los Angeles' total volume was up 10.3 per cent year on year to 706,036 TEU, marking the port's busiest month since September. Long Beach rose 9.7 per cent to 569,843 TEU.
Laden imports boxes at Los Angeles increased 11.4 per cent in April to 537,071 TEU. Exports increased to 172,945 units, an eight per cent gain.
At the Port of Long Beach, imports increased 11.9 per cent to 295,712 TEU, and exports were up by 6.3 per cent, to 146,498 TEU.
