DP World's quarterly box volumes rise 9pc on extra terminal capacity
DUBAI's DP World, the number three terminal operator globally, has announced that consolidated container volume increased by 9.1 per cent in the first quarter to 6.76 million TEU.
The company attributed the growth to the addition of new capacity and a pick-up in global trade.
Gross volumes, which include all the terminals that the group is involved in or operates, amounted to 14.3 million TEU, up 10.5 per cent year on year.
