Guangdong port quarterly boxes up 4.9pc to 11.37 million TEU
GUANGDONG provincial ports posted a 4.9 per cent year-on-year increase in container throughput to 11.37 million TEU in the first quarter of the year, according to the Guangdong Statistics Bureau, reports Xinhua.
Guangdong ports' collective cargo volume in the period increased 5.8 per cent year on year to 359.74 million tonnes.
Domestic trade cargo volume was up 5.7 per cent to 240.17 million tonnes, while foreign trade cargo volume rose 6.1 per cent to 119.57 million tonnes.
