DHL's Hong Kong office wins top award for corporate responsibility efforts
DHL EXPRESS's Hong Kong office has been named as a "Best CSR (corporate social responsibility)" award winner of Hong Kong at the 4th Asian Excellence Recognition Awards.
DHL has been recognised alongside an elite group of top companies who operate across the Asia Pacific region and the only international express logistics provider to have been singled out for praise by the organiser.
The 4th Asian Excellence Recognition Awards celebrated excellence in investor communications, business ethics, corporate social responsibility (CSR), environmental practices and financial performance.
They are organised by Corporate Governance Asia, an authoritative journal covering corporate governance practice in Hong Kong and across Asia.
DHL Express has also been accredited as a "10 Years+ Caring Company" by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, an essential partner of the Hong Kong Government in its social welfare and development activities.
"The award marks the fact the company has successfully met the annual adjudication criteria - Caring for the Community, Caring for Employees and Caring for the Environment - for over a decade," said the DHL release.
Said DHL Hong Kong-Macau chief Ken Lee: "For DHL, Corporate Responsibility is an essential part of doing business. I would like to thank our employees, customers and NGO partners for their contributions."
