Xinjiang 2-month farm produce export value up 20pc to US$155 million
SOUTHWEST Xinjiang agricultural produce export value surged 20 per cent year on year to CNY964 million (US$155.2 million) in the first two months of the year, according to Urumqi Customs.
Xinjiang Tacheng customs director Pan Feng said the launch of the Sino-Kazakhstan "green channel" has given great convenience to the trade of the agricultural products between the two countries, resulting in a number of hinterland enterprises to seek business opportunities around the checkpoint.
This is China's first cooperation project with a neighbouring country on streamlining clearance service for agricultural produce, reports Xinhua.
Also, the Urumqi Customs has introduced the clearance mode of "low risk, quick release", which has greatly improved its clearance efficiency.
