Jinan and Heze government cooperate to build rail logistics park
THE Jinan Railway Bureau in eastern Shandong province announced that they have signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the province's Heze Municipal Government on setting up a railway logistics park in the city, reports Xinhua.
According to China Railway Corporation and Shandong province's logistics industry development plan, authorities from both sides plan to develop the Heze Railway Logistics Park into a comprehensive logistics industrial park.
Meanwhile, they will enhance the logistics service network in the city to improve its rail logistics pick-up and delivery service ability and to promote logistics development in southwestern Shandong.
In recent years, the Jinan bureau has been expanding the construction of railway facilities in Heze to enhance its transport capacity. Thus far, cargo volume through seven stations in Heze area has posted a throughput of 15 million tonnes.
The Heze Railway Logistics Park is located in Mudan District of Heze city, covering 300 hectares.
