Los Angeles February container volume falls 9.1pc to 431,738 TEU
THE Port of Los Angeles overall container volume decreased 9.1 per cent in February year on year to 431,738 TEU, with imports dropping 10.6 per cent to 284,812 TEU and exports falling 6.2 per cent to 146,925 TEU.
"The decrease is due in part to the Chinese New Year, which closed many factories in Asia for two to three weeks in February. Last year, the holiday had a negative impact on March container volumes," said the port authority.
