Guangxi to up capacity of Xijiang River ports by 25 million tonnes
SOUTHWEST China's Guangxi Autonomous Region plans to spend between CNY4 billion (US$654 million) and CNY5 billion, on developing infrastructure on Xijiang River to raise river port capacity by 25 million tonnes, Xinhua reports.
The Guangxi government aims to develop the Pearl-Xijiang River economic belt into a leading area of cooperation between east and west China and the gateway for trade with ASEAN as well as Hong Kong and Macau.
