Cosco to hike Far East-US rate $300/FEU May 1 and again on May 15
COSCO has announced two dates - May 1 and May 15 - to implement a range of rate increases on cargo from the Far East and Indian subcontinent to all US destinations.
From May 1, rate increases will be US$240 per TEU, $300 per FEU, $338 per 40-foot high cube and $388 per 45-footers.
From May 15, rate increases will be repeated, that is $240 per TEU, $300 per FEU, $338 per 40-foot high cube and $388 per 45-footers.
The Far East and Indian subcontinent includes Bangladesh, Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.
