Fujian ports' trade cargo volume up 19.5pc to 63.27 million tonnes
FUJIAN provincial ports posted a year-on-year 19.5 per cent increase in overall import and export cargo volume to 63.27 million tonnes in 2013, according to Fujian Department of Commerce, reports Xinhua.
The total trade value via the ports in the province increased 15.6 per cent year on year to US$20.2 billion. Export cargo in the period grew 19.1 per cent to 14.49 million tonnes with value rising 5.8 per cent to $8.4 billion, while import cargo surged 20.1 per cent to 48.78 million tonnes with the value climbing 23.7 per cent to $11.8 billion.
