GAC Australia wins 3-year contract to provide agency services to MOL
GAC Australia, part of the global shipping, logistics and marine service provider GAC Group, has been awarded a three-year contract by Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) to provide port and ship agency services for 1,500 port calls annually across Australia.
The contract was signed by managing director of MOL Australia Mark Austin, and managing director, GAC Australia, Phil Coolican, following a rigorous tender process.
Mr Coolican said in a company statement: "Our extensive operation across Australia is focused on helping MOL to deliver their strategy in Australia by working closely with them to make sure that all of their needs are met."
MOL operates a fleet of 900 vessels of 66 million deadweight tons. The fleet includes containerships, bulk cargo carriers, car carriers, oil tankers, chemical products carriers, and liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers.
