Zhuhai airport cargo soars 117.8pc to record 3,811 tonnes in November
WESTERN Guangdong's Zhuhai airport refreshes its monthly cargo throughput record by having handled 3,811 tonnes of freight in November, which rocketed 117.8 per cent year on year, Xinhua reports.
On November 21, the airport handled 285 tonnes of freight, marking the largest single-day cargo throughput since the airport opened. From January to November throughput was up 23.1 per cent year on year to 18,143 tonnes.
Zhuhai Airport Management Co spokesman said that both the airport's cargo and passenger volume are rapidly increasing with record highs expected from full-year statistics.
