Atlas Air wins B747-8F ACMI contract from BST Logistics (Hong Kong)
ATLAS Air, Inc, a member of global provider of outsourced aircraft and aviation operating solutions, Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings (AAWW), has been awarded a contract from BST Logistics (Hong Kong) Company Ltd, to provide Boeing 747-8 Freighter service.
The contract is for one aircraft under an Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance (ACMI) agreement, with service expected to commence in February 2014 and operate in key global routes connecting the US, Europe and Asia, an AAWW statement posted by Business Wire said.
BST Logistics provides dedicated air freight services on a global basis and serves some of the largest shippers in the world.
"BST Logistics is an important addition to our portfolio of ACMI customers," said AAWW's president and chief executive officer, William Flynn. "We are pleased that it has chosen Atlas Air to operate parts of its long-haul route network.
