Fujian's 11-month port throughput up 9.4pc to 10.61 million TEU
FROM January to November, the collective container throughput of ports in southeastern province Fujian grew 9.4 per cent year on year to 10.61 million TEU.
Xiamen, the province's largest port, lifted 7.28 million TEU, up 12 per cent. Fuzhou, the second largest, recorded 1.79 million TEU, increasing 8.3 per cent.
In the same period, the province recorded an aggregate seaport throughput tonnage of 415 million tonnes, up 10.3 per cent.
Xiamen handled 174 million tonnes, up 11 per cent. Fuzhou's grew 13.4 per cent to 117 million tonnes.
