New Mangalore ports announces two berths dredged two berths to 14 metres
THE Port of Mangalore has announced the deepening of draft at two berths in the harbour, reports GAC Hot Port News.
"Due to improvement of the water depths at approach channels and lagoon by continuous dredging, the maximum permissible draft for berths No 10 and No 11 has been increased to 14 metres, with one-metre height of tide, with immediate effect," said the report.
