Chengdu and Guangxi Qinzhou port cooperate on railway construction
CENTRAL China Chengdu's Qingbaijiang district government and Guangxi Qinzhou port authority have signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement on building a railway linking Chengdu and Qinzhou Bonded Port Area as to launch sea-rail intermodal service, reports Xinhua.
Qingbaijiang district is now building Asia's largest international railway logistics hub, while Qinzhou Bonded Port Area is the only bonded port area in western China coastal areas.
Under the agreement, the two sides will integrate their strengths to build the rail line to reduce comprehensive logistics cost with the intermodal service. Meantime, they will try hard to win support from China Railway Corporation to open regular and express train services between the two.
