Transport Corporation of India revenue up 6pc, but profit flattens
TRANSPORT Corporation of India (TCI) has reported six per cent revenue growth to US$81.4 million in the second quarter of 2013 ending September 30, with net profit at $2.13 million, showing little year-on-year change.
The country's largest supply chain and logistics provider increased its operating income from core freight division by six per cent to $32 million. Its express division surged by 10 per cent to $24.3 million year on year, reported Newark's Journal of Commerce.
In the first half of fiscal year 2013-14, TCI increased profit by 2.5 per cent at $4.3 million, drawn on revenues of $159.3 million up six per cent year on year.
