Panalpina adds 26 LCL Singapore/Busan-based services from Asia
SWISS forwarding giant Panalpina has expanded its less than container load (LCL) network in Asia by adding 26 new direct services based on three scheduled weekly sailings.
The company said it now offers three sailings per week on multiple point pairs, including from Hong Kong to Singapore, Shanghai to Busan and Singapore to Hamburg.
Central to the company's most recent expansions to its LCL hubs in Singapore create 125 services and 75 from Busan.
"These new services are part of an effort to upgrade our LCL network," said Panalpina LCL chief Clas Thorell. "Our hubs, combined with our vast service network, increases access to both growing and traditional markets."
LCL moving through the Singapore and Busan hubs are chiefly high-tech, consumer and retail, fashion and automotive. The hubs are located within free trade zones, minimising time between freight station and vessel.
