Fujian 9-month port throughput increases 10.7pc, Xiamen up 13.8pc
FROM January to September, sea ports in southeastern China's Fujian province lifted 8.52 million TEU of containers, which was 10.7 per cent more than one year ago, Xinhua reports.
Port of Xiamen handled 5.83 million TEU, up 13.8 per cent. Port of Fuzhou's box throughput grew 8.7 per cent to 1.44 million TEU.
In the same period, Fujian's ports recorded a throughput of 334 million tonnes, up 10.5 per cent. Xiamen's throughput went 11.8 per cent up to 141 million tonnes while Fuzhou's increased 12.9 per cent to 92.93 million tonnes
