Rotterdam bunker barge premiums over ex-wharf FOB 3.5% HSFO barges have fallen on greater availability of fuel oil from suppliers, sources said Tuesday.
Delivered barges came off to $7.25/mt Monday from the earlier 10-month peak of $10.25/mt Friday after bunker deliveries from barges faced severe delays at Rotterdam terminals, Platts data shows.
"We can supply prompt inquiries for 380 CST HSFO anytime," a Rotterdam bunker supplier said.
At the beginning of this week, bunker deliveries were offered at lower premiums, with Rotterdam bunker suppliers reporting greater availability for prompt. Although some sources continued to struggle with barge loadings at Eurotank Terminal Rotterdam Terminal, others reported abundance of HSFO to supply urgent inquiries.
In the European morning Tuesday, Rotterdam sources reported lower stemmed prices of $581-589/mt for 380 CST HSFO compared with Monday's $590.50/mt, Platts data shows.
