Hong Kong-listed Brightoil Petroleum has started supplying bunker fuel from Qingdao port in East China from Tuesday, a company source said.
The company completed a delivery of 380 CST grade bunker fuel to one vessel in Qingdao on Tuesday, the source said.
Brightoil has leased a 60,000 cubic meter storage tank at the port and uses its own barge, which has a capacity of 3,600 mt, to carry out deliveries of bunker fuel, the source added.
The company had originally planned to start supplying bunker fuel at Qingdao in the second half of July, but this was delayed due to a late arrival of a cargo, Platts reported previously citing the same company source. But other trading sources said there was delays in securing government approval.
In addition to Qingdao, Brightoil currently supplies bunker fuel from Shenzhen in South China, and Shanghai, Ningbo and Zhoushan in East China.
